We asked:
Does receiving recognition from leaders and peers through the Bucketlist Rewards platform reduce employees’ intention to leave their organizations?
Leader Recognition:
- 47% Lower Turnover Intentions
- Employees who receive leader recognition weekly are 47% less likely to think about leaving the company.
Peer Recognition:
- 13% Lower Turnover Intentions
- Employees who receive peer recognition weekly are 13% less likely to think about leaving the company.
- Turnover intentions were measured on a 1–7 scale: How often have you seriously considered leaving your current job?
Anything 3 or above is considered at-risk of leaving the organization in the upcoming year. The results showed that leader recognition reduced turnover intentions from 2.96 to 1.58. This means that getting recognized regularly by leaders can change an employee’s desire to leave from “sometimes” to almost “never.”
